Giver compare and contrast

In the movie the Giver the story is basically the same as the book with slight errors. In the movie it showed, Jonas and Fiona make physical contact and With asher too. He takes Gabe with him when he leaves the community. The reason of this is because he is feeling all of these emotions and all of these memories. He has also been skipping his ejections. I also think that the director wanted more action and twists instead of going of the book. However in the book it made more sense and more seeable than a actual movie. In the book it shows, how he never really got into any physical contact with others. He is much younger and takes time to process his powers. This is because of it all flowing in gently. Why would we rush everything when we still need to think about the readers.

In the book the Giver they have Jonas as a 12 year old boy but in the movie they have as a young adult. I think movie should have him at least have flashbacks when he was younger so we know how he got there. This means the viewers would actually understand the movie. This also might help the viewer understand the book a little more. I have no clue i would choose to be Jonas but we should not have to. This movie should make sense.

In the movie the Giver and in the book the ending was bad because they rushed in everything and just left us hanging. In the book it shows that “it was only a echo” p.180. But what does that mean. And in the book they leave Jonas by a cabin… again what does that mean. Maybe they would make a,part 2. Sure enough many would not be interested because of how bad this one was.
